There Will Be Signs

There Will Be Signs is a setting of Advent text.  A bombo is an Andean goat-skin drum and may be substituted with a deep, warm drum.  This passage from Luke occurs the first Sunday of Advent in Common Lectionary Year C.

Precious Oil

Precious Oil is an a cappella SATB setting of text of Psalm 133 from Marchiene Vroon Reinstra's book, Swallow's Nest:  A Feminine Reading of the Psalms.    Psalm 133 occurs several times in the Common Lectionary.  The composer dedicates this work to Linda Moore Tyler of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas, in honor of a lifetime of faithful and generous service to God over many years.
